WWW: You’ve caught up with missing blog work previously which is positive but now find ourselves in the same situation. The fact you caught up before gives me confidence but you do need to improve your organisation and meeting deadlines (even if you’re absent for a lesson). You have a solid assessment mark already so you are clearly learning the basics of GCSE Media but we do need to make sure the blog work is happening so that we can push on towards the higher grades. Remember that Media is always open at break and lunch if you want to work in DF07 on catching up or getting ahead with blogwork.

EBI: Aside from posting the missing work, we need to add depth and detail to our work. This means explaining the different meanings being communicated to the audience in real detail. Have a look at the examples we put on the Year 1 Media blog to see what top-level analysis looks like and try and add more detail to work towards that (e.g. there are extended examples of analysis for both the camerawork and editing tasks).

LR: Copy and paste this feedback into a new blogpost called ‘Blog feedback and learner response’. Then, set aside some time to go back and complete missing or unfinished work. Finally, as your learner response write what you think the most difficult topic we’ve covered so far has been and why.

LR:the most difficult topic for me was demographics and psychographics because it was hard to understand a write an explanation for it.
